The Legion SMG is the standard issue submachine gun of the Legion Army, exiled Commonwealth soldiers who now rule the Dweller tribes in the Sonoran Desert. It is one of three weapons which may drop during PvE and open world instances that are exclusively available to Assaults, the others being the Brawler's Beat Stick and the Helot Minigun. Compared to the other Assault ranged weapons, the Legion SMG does slightly more damage than the Heatwrack but less than the Rhino SMG.

Drop Information[]

The weapon is exclusive to the Assault and can only drop to players of the class. In other words, if a Legion SMG drops and you are not an Assault, you will not receive it.

SMGs will only drop from Legion Grunts, who are fairly plentiful in the Sonoran Desert. They generally travel in squads of about three or four and are almost always accompanied by Legion Sergeants who direct their attacks. A large population of them can be found south of the Water Works and north of Presido near a canyon. It is the same area that most of the Elkan forces are found.

There are two quality levels for the SMG, either uncommon (green) or rare (blue); epic (purple) is not available. The drop rate is estimated at less than 5%, with some estimates in the range of .5 to 2%.

Trivia[]

  • There is currently a glitch where female assaults wielding the Legion SMG will use male animations. This is expected to be resolved with Patch 1.39.
