The Legion Combat Knife is a sharpened Legion blade, commonly carried by Legion Army soldiers. It is one of three weapons which may drop during PvE and open world instances that are exclusively available to Medic class, the others being the Legion Side Arm and the Adrenaline Gun.

The Combat Knife is the fastest-swinging melee weapon available for the Medic class, and is also the second-best in damage (behind the Life Stealer). Also, the Combat Knife lacerates the enemy on backstabs, causing them to bleed for 5 seconds (which stacks with other effects.)

Drop InformationEdit

The weapon is exclusive to the Medic and can only drop to players of the class. In other words, if a Legion Combat Knife drops and you are not a Medic, you will not receive it (although someone in your team might).

Knives will drop from Legion Grunts and Legion Sergeants, who are fairly plentiful in the Sonoran Desert. They generally travel in squads of about three or four and are almost always accompanied by Legion Sergeants who direct their attacks. Grunts can be found as the main enemies in medium-security PvE missions and throughout the Sonoran Desert open area.

For Medics, it may be wise to work with an Assault when farming for the weapons, as Assaults also earn weapon drops from the Grunts (see Legion SMG). Plus, the Legion Sergeants also occasionally have drops for the Medic (see Legion Side Arm).

There are two quality levels for the Knife, either uncommon (green) or rare (blue); epic (purple) is not available. The drop rate is estimated at less than 5%, with some estimates in the range of .5 to 2%.
