Hunter Spiders are quadrepedal mechanical NPCs with a periscoping head piece. They are occasionally found during defense raids, and wandering around in the Ruins of Brookside. They are also found inside Dome 3 East.

Overview Edit

Hunter spiders are armed with a moderately powerful Auto Cannon which fires burst purple energy balls and a melee attack.

Unlike Support Widows its autocannon fires continously.

They are also capable of pulling in a target with a red tractor beam, forcing the target into near-melee range. The pull of the beam can be fought by using the Jetpack - plain jumping will also occasionally cause the beam to disengage and give him enough damage will also force him to stop. Make sure that you cannot always out damage it so watch out.

Hunter Spiders can jump very far to get in melee range. Hunter Spiders / Support Widows are strong and pretty fast in close combat. Aswell be able to preform a Unblockable Melee attack that deals an high amount of damage and knock the target far away.

The model of the Recursive Hunter Spiders is used for Support Widows, which appear during some high security PvE missions.
