The default melee weapon for the Robotics class, the EnergyBurn Mace deals quick damage without requiring Power. Scoring a hit from behind reduces the victims' current Power by 30, quickly preventing them from effectivly fighting back.

Note that NPCs do not have a Power Pool - while attacking NPCs from behind is still worthwhile, it won't affect their ability to fire back! Also note that the EnergyBurn's damage-per-second is lower than the Robotics' Ranged weapons - use the EnergyBurn only when Power is an issue.

A specific epic varient of the EnergyBurn Mace is available for purchase at Dome City's Robotics Gear vendor for 200 Mercenary Tokens. Uncommon, rare, and other epic varients are occasionally awarded upon successful completion of PvE and PvP missions.
