The Colony Energy Rifle is a peculiar weapon not of human origin. In fact, it is manufactured by the Recursives who dominate the Sonoran Desert. It is one of three weapons which may drop during PvE and open world instances that are exclusively available to the Robotics class, the others being the Heavy Wrench and the Techro Blaster.

The Energy Rifle has superior damage per hit over the HEL-TAC Rifle, but costs more power and has a slower refire rate.

Drop InformationEdit

The weapon is exclusive to the Robotics class and can only drop to players of the class. In other words, if a Colony Energy Rifle drops and you are not an Robo, you will not receive it (although someone in your team might).

Rifles will only drop from Colony Drones, who are fair plentiful in the Sonoran Desert. The most notable locations are at the Abandoned Locker, the Crater, and in the ruins of New Yuma. Drones can also be encountered during Colony-themed medium-security PvE missions.

There are two quality levels for the Rifle, either uncommon (green) or rare (blue); epic (purple) is not available. The drop rate is estimated at less than 5%, with some estimates in the range of .5 to 2%.
