Agonizer model, also shared with Painguns.

The Agonizer is an alternate ranged weapon for Medic agents. It is a Pistol like gun that allows the Medic to debuff enemies as well as poison them.

You can get this weapon by completing a mission at the Junk Town.

Overview Edit

The Agonizer is a poison based ranged weapon, which means its damage is mitigated by any skill, offhand or mod that can mitigate ranged damage.

When it damages a enemy, a poison DoT debuff is aplied on the victim, this debuff can unstealth cloacked enemies as well as rendering certain enemies (NPCs only) unable to perform any action.

Both the base damage and the DoT damage and duration can be augmented by expending skill points in the Poison Medic skill tree.

The DoT can not be mitigated neither by ranged, AoE nor melee protections, but can be cured by healing offhands like Medical Stations, Healing Waves, Healing Grenades, etc.

Medic's healing guns can also remove the debuff.

While scoped the agonizer does roughly 5-10% more damage

Note that poison debuffs do not stack, meaning the current active debuff will remain even if the player is aflicted by a new one, negating the last debuff aplied will be negated, so think twice before using poison grenades or poison auras.

A specific epic varient of the Agonizer is available for purchase at level 30 from Dome City's Medic Gear vendor for 6000 Tokens. Uncommon, rare, and other epic varients are occasionally awarded upon successful completion of PvE and PvP missions.
